This band is in my opinion badass. They are a mixture of Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, Presidents of the USA, and a little Ween.

They played at a local dive bar called The Spot where my mom bartends. The lead guys name was Nicholas, so she asked him for a cd and brought it to me. I love the band and have a shirt on the way.

Hopefully I can get in contact with them and book them at LTA.

I didn't keep up all too well without the late night bullshit, but I am sad to see Conan go I reckon. I haven't really watched his show since I was in college. But this is great:

Watching an HD Music Video channel this came on. It is actually the only music channel I know of that plays music videos 24/7. It's called Palladium.

I think this guys voice is incredible, and I really love how the sound grabs the mind.

I am not going to lie; this year didn't speak shit to me as far as music is concerned. The two best guitar tracks to make their appearance in music are in Jay Z songs. On Jay Z's newest album, the tracks Death of Autotune and Run This Town have the best bass and guitar riffs I've heard this year, easily. Listen to the studio versions of those songs. The album is Blueprint III and its pretty fucking good.

In the song, "It's All Right" he tells all the young men that when they hear from their friends what their lady has been doing, don't go home and start hitting her. Sam Cooke's last words would be, "Lady, you shot me."
