A funny gift.

On the way to Palm Harbor we stopped in Atlanta to see Jack Johnson in concert. Some friends of ours who live in Atlanta let us stay in their house on the way down.

This was on one of the bookshelves, and was apparently a wedding gift.

Jo-To's Sushi

Nicholas Gann Tuesday, August 31, 2010
This place was in Palm Harbor. The sushi is the best sushi I have ever had. The rice was fresh, the wasabi strong, and the eel sweet. And who can deny the badassery of the boat?

I absolutely loved it, and thank you Aunt Gigi for taking us there multiple times!

Jacob Estes says:
One of the things I read about sushi spots is that anybody can throw some delicious sauce on a pile of ingredients and make it taste great, but the good spots make tasty sushi that are expertly cut and presented with real creativity and enthusiasm. Maybe one day Murfreesboro will get a sushi spot that does the sushi boats on the river around the bar.

Mama's Seafood Cafe

Located on Clearwater Beach

I had muscles boiled in cream sauce and onions with a side of fries. It reminded me of France

Laura had lamb shank and potatoes.

Also pictured here is Garlic Hummus with pita chips, Amberbock, and Sangria

Dunedin Brewery

Nicholas Gann Tuesday, August 31, 2010
Beer is a huge love of mine! The Dunedin Brewery delivered a fantastic, clean, and subtle group of flavor in every beer I tried.

The tap arrangement.

On the left we have an Apricot Ale, One the right we have a Coffee Brown, accented with an amazing chocolate and almond flavor.

Pipe's and Memories

Nicholas Gann Tuesday, August 31, 2010
My aunt-in-law brought these out to show me after I was explaining my new hobbies to her.

The biggest one(or the one with tits) is a Meerschaum.
(made from sea foam)

The other three in order from top to bottom:
Falcon, with removeable bowl,
Bulldog from Italy carved from Briar with vulcanite stem,
Churchwarden from Italy carved from Briar with vulcanite stem.

They were her grandfathers, and were some seriously nice and well smoked pipes.

Kelly's...Fuckin' delicious!

Nicholas Gann Tuesday, August 31, 2010
This menu was hilarious. The bar/restaurant was primarily gays, so the imagery is great.

This was an incredible meal. The omelet was swiss and spinach. The potatoes were Cajun style with Cheddar, and the pancakes were... pancakes.

Great Barrier Reef

Great Barrier Reef

Nicholas Gann Saturday, February 6, 2010
Diving the Great Barrier Reef is one of a thousand life goals I have. But it makes the top 3. After the jump you can find some facts about the reef. And a new interest of mine(they never stop coming).

Larry- is it the kind you make sushi out of? Can we make sushi out of it if I come over? Having coral in your living room tank would be so cool.

Tapas, another first for The Nick!

Cha Cha Tapas Bar

Last night my amazing girlfriend christened as "Laura," took me out for a fantastic dinner at a Tapas bar christened with the name "Cha Chah," in Nashville, TN.

I ordered; Baby Octopus with Garlic and Citrus, Spicy Shrimp with Tomato Bread, and Mushrooms with garlic.

To Drink: Coctel de Tomillo (Citrus Vodka with Cranberry and Thyme syrup, garnished with fresh Thyme) The bartenders own creation and it was everything it sounds to be. The drink lit up my senses, the perfect sweet mixture for the bitterness of the food.

The bartender, who was really cool, insisted I have brussel sprouts brazed in a Smoked Vinegar with cheese. I told him no, but he bought them for me and forced his sprouts on me. I hated him because he was right, they were incredible.

She had to eat; A sausage trio of which had some of the most amazing Chorizo(made in-house) I have ever tried. Calamares Fritos w/ Lemon Aioli, and Ginger Zest Crab Fritters w/ Harissa....more.

I just read on a food site about how irritated the guy gets when chefs call stuff on their menu "aioli" when it's actually just mayonnaise. I'm not accusing this place of serving Miracle Whip and calling it Fancy Miracle Whip. I just think that's funny. Did I tell you the restaurant I see in my head is a tapas place? I think it'd be a fun menu to put together. Sounds awesome man.

Nutella and Baguette

I bought these a few days ago, and I went with the world market brand Nutella because the grocery store was out. Anyhow he messaged me last night to say hello and tell me happy birthday and that reminded me I had this picture.

This jacket is pretty incredible, it features:

Conduits for virtually every cord that could come with a gadget. Removable sleeves and hood. Bottle Holder (I always put bottles of water in my uncomfortable back pocket while walking)...
