Politically Correct Bedtime Stories: A Book.

Politically Correct Bedtime Stories: A Book.

Nicholas Gann Wednesday, March 3, 2010 Posted under Books, Humor, Fairy Tales.
My girlfriends mother had this book sitting on a shelf at her house. I borrowed it.
The book is funny in the way that you can't really tell what the classic story was actually about because it is filled with jargon that rewords someone being evil, or renames woman to wommon or womyn. The idea of the book is to completely tell these stories without any bias or incorrect name calling.

An Excerpt from Little Red Riding Hood:

The wolf said, "You know, my dear, it isn't safe for a little girl to walk through these woods alone."

Red Riding Hood said, "I find your sexist remark offensive in the extreme, but I will ignore it because of your traditional status as an outcast from society, the stress of which has caused you to develop your own, entirely valid, worldview. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must be on my way."

In this book the BIg Bad Wolf of the three little pigs is said to have Expansionist Ideals.

Overall a really fun book, that pokes even more fun at the idea of political correctness.

Haha. That is awesome. People who demand tolerance are often the rudest people I meet. They make tolerant people look like jerks. I won't stand for it.
